Craft & process

The form is refined long before the final polish.

Great bronze work is the result of many controlled decisions. Our project framework keeps artistic intent visible through development, casting, detailing and finish.

01

Reference & iconography

The visual brief is assembled: subject, posture, attributes, gesture, proportions, ornamental language and architectural context.

02

Sculptural master

The form is resolved in three dimensions, with attention to expression, silhouette, anatomy, drapery, ornament and negative space.

03

Review & corrections

Key visual decisions are reviewed before the project moves further, reducing late changes after casting preparation begins.

04

Casting route

The casting method is selected for the commission. Where traditional lost-wax casting is appropriate, mould, wax and metal stages are planned around the form and scale.

05

Chasing & refinement

After casting, seams, surface transitions and ornamental detail are chased and refined so the metal reads as a unified sculpture.

06

Finish & patina

The surface receives the required finish — from warm polished bronze to restrained antique or darker heritage character.

07

Final visual review

Expression, attributes, hand details, silhouette, joins, surface consistency and overall visual balance are checked.

08

Project handover

Final measurements, documentation and destination requirements are coordinated before dispatch or installation planning.

Why detail matters

Refinement is cumulative.

The eye does not experience a crown, a hand, a necklace or a pedestal in isolation. It experiences one complete presence. The quality of a sacred sculpture is therefore cumulative: proportion supports expression, expression supports gesture, gesture supports ornament, and ornament must never overwhelm the whole.
